Completely New End Mills From Iscar Can Multiply Productivity While Shrinking Costs

Producers and die & mold shops can eliminate chatter problems in many milling operations with Iscar's unique Chatterfree carbide end mills. The cutters' variable-pitch flute pattern dismisses harmonic vibration, the prime source of chatter. This enables faster cutting and excellent finish in rough or finish slotting, shoulder milling and cavity milling. In addition, users also report lasting edge life due to lowered chatter. The chatter-free feature is applicable in both solid carbide endmills and tips in Iscar's Multi-Master replaceable-tip line. Diameter range is 6 to 20mm for the solid carbide endmills, and 8 to 20mm for Multi-Master tips. These brand new endmills are perfect for reduced power machines with ISO40 or BT40 adaptations. The solid carbide adaptation can manage full slot machining up to 2xD. Depth ability on the replaceable-tip version is more constrained since the active length is shorter. In full slotting applications on alloy steel, the solid carbide fabrication surely handles 0.03-0.05 feed rates at 180-220mm/min surface speed and 2xD depth of cut.

Finishred - Innovative Solid Carbide Endmills

Iscar is introducing the EFR.. B44 and the MM EFS.. Finishred a innovative solid carbide end mills family. The Finishred carbide endmill is a combination of both roughing and finishing endmills in a single tool. Roughing endmills remove metal from work pieces more swiftly and accurately than conventional endmills. However, roughing endmills leave grooves on the machined surface. In consequence, after using a roughing endmill, a finishing endmill needs to be used in order to accomplish a flush surface finish. This involves time-consuming tool change, setup time and inevitably of maintaining two endmill types in the inventory.

Functions of the Finishred Endmills:

The EFR.. B44 and the MM EFS.. endmills feature 4 flutes with 45 degree helix, two serrated flutes and two continuous flutes.

The cutting edges of the finishing flutes are radially more distant from the tool axis than the cutting edges of the serrated flutes. The finishing flutes dismiss the grooves created by the roughing flutes, leaving a flush surface finish.

The tool is fully competent and facilitates running at rough machining parameters, resulting in finish surface quality.

The unique tool design diminishes vibration at high load applications.

The tool creates short and long chips simultaneously. This chip mixture is evacuated more easily than each individual chip type, an extraordinary solution in slotting and cavity milling functions.

The Finishred is also made available with the Multi-Master indexable milling head option which incorporates the Finishred includes with the usefulness of little setup time, no regrinding costs and the extensive range of shank and extension choices are obtainable for the Multi-Master milling heads.

A single tool substitutes the roughing and finishing endmills; therefore lowering stock.

Tool change and setup time can be waived.

An additional tool position is produced on the machine

New Chip Splitting Solid Carbide Endmills for Raised Metal Removal Rates

ISCAR is releasing the ECP-3/4L family of chip splitting endmills. The innovative endmills are available with 3 and four 38 degree flutes in grade IC900. They have 2xD and long shanks with reduced neck diameter, which aid machining along high shoulders, at high feeds. These endmills, due to their chip splitting feature and force distribution can be used very effectively on lesser power machines (CAT40/BT40/ISO40). The serrated cutting edge includes flat peaks which leave a greater surface finish, in association to the current rougher carbide endmills. The ECP endmills are recommended for machining austenitic and martensitic stainless steel, at up to 2xD depth of cut. They can be employed on alloyed steel as well. All of the preliminary tests conducted at numerous customers' locations showed exceptional results.

A Couple Of The Numerous Advancements In Carbide Inserts From Iscar
Iscar is introducing a new unique milling system with tangential, clamped, butterfly-shaped LNKX carbide inserts. The butterfly-shaped insert has significant advantages compared to the current flat, square shapes. The new geometry has more cutting edges, positive rake face, reduced cutting forces resulting in higher performance.

Push Pull Testing For Building Industry Supplying Calibrated Gauges. Mechanical Load Testing Methods For On Site Proof To Testing Standards.
Push Pull Testing for the Railway industry for proof of reliable anchor fixings. Calibrated push pull force gauges are used for stress load testing along with tensile strength pull testing procedures. Proof of load testing undertaken, measured, recorded in a reliable and standard way to BS5080 Part 1 standards.
