Heather drank quite heavily every weekend with her friends. One Monday after school she began thinking about her drinking behavior and the excessive and irresponsible drinking of her friends. As a result of this, she nicely asked all of her friends the following question: "what do we really know about alcohol abuse, binge drinking, alcohol poisoning, and alcoholism? In other words, how much alcoholism and alcohol abuse information do we really know? For our young age, we certainly drink excessively and I am starting to wonder if all of us are headed for a life filled with alcohol-related difficulties down the road.
I think we need to go online and discover all that is possible about alcohol abuse, alcoholism, binge drinking, and alcohol poisoning. And then if we have any issues that we do not comprehend after we do our Internet research, we can take a hike to the student health center at the college and ask Nurse Furlong to explain things to us.

When Heather then mentioned that abusive and excessive drinking usually results in relationship, financial, school, and legal problems, some of her friends finally began to understand how extensive and how debilitating excessive and hazardous drinking can be. Indeed, some of her friends became more open and started to tell how these alcoholism and alcohol abuse effects had affected some of their friends and their parents.
After discussing some of the alcohol dependency and alcohol abuse problems that are related to irresponsible drinking, the majority of her pals liked the idea about getting information online. They were, however, cautious about discussing their drinking behavior with any of the teachers at school. As Heather heard this she thought to herself, "at least they want to learn more about their drinking behavior. This is an excellent start."
